Finally, here comes Cebu Institute of Technology - University (formerly known as Cebu Institute of Technology). We know that it was going to happen, but the question was always "when?" and it was finally answered. Being a student of Cebu Institute of Technology - University gives me pride to a school that has established a good reputation for the past 64 years.
By virtue of Commission on Higher Education en banc Resolution No. 165-2010 dated July 7, 2010 (which was also my 20th birthday), it officially elevated Cebu Institute of Technology into its university status. Thus, here's Cebu Institute of Technology - University also known as CIT University.
Yes, Cebu Institute of Technology - University is not a perfect institution and so is everyone and everything. The university status that it achieved is not the end for its quest for excellence. It's just the beginning.
Btw, if you're a Technologian, try this one while riding a public utility vehicle and observe what happens:
