I attended the ground breaking activity of Amalfi Oasis, the first cluster of residential buildings in Citta di Mare held its ceremonial ground breaking activity last Saturday, November 13, 2010 together with my Cebu Bloggers Society family. The Amalfi Oasis project is a joint venture undertaking between Filinvest Land and the Cebu City Government.

In attendance were Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) vice chairman Mr. Andrew T. Gotianun, Jr., FLI first vice president Tristan Las Marias and special guests of honor Cebu City Mayor Michael L. Rama, Cebu City Vice Mayor Joy Young and CIPC Managing Director Mr. Joel Mari Yu. Cocktails were also served for the event at the Sugbu Building grounds. Together with Cebu City Councilors Alvin Dizon, Alvin Arcilla, Lea Ouano-Japson, Ma. Nida Cabrera, Jun Pe, Richard OsmeƱa and Sisinio Andales.

Amalfi Oasis is Filinvest’s first offering of mid rise condominium units in Citta di Mare’s 40-hectare residential zone and will be comprised of around 10 to 12 buildings of at least 5 storeys in height. It is aptly named after its inspiration—a quaint seaside Italian community named Amalfi. Like its namesake, Amalfi Oasis is a perfect location where one can enjoy the coastal scenery and also the spectacular views of the mountains.

Amalfi Oasis, will contain various mid-rise residential condominium building clusters interspersed with generous open spaces. Only 35% of the residential zone will be used as building footprints, the 65% of the land were internationally dedicated for parks, tree-lined path walks, jogging trails, bike lanes and spot parks as gaps between residential buildings.
Always wear your hard hat
The entire residential area will also be car-free, making Citta di Mare truly a distinct pedestrian paradise. Each cluster of condominium buildings will have its own set of amenities- including a swimming pool, a clubhouse and covered activity courts.

Amalfi Oasis Building 1 will be constructed over a 12-month period. Filinvest projects to complete the building and turnover the units by December 2011.
