Halad sa Technologians - Battle of the Bands 2009

To end the Cebu Institute of Technology (CIT) College Days with a bang, last March 3, the CIT - Supreme Student Government officiated the Battle of the Bands, a contest of CIT bands, sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology Scholars Association (DOST SA CIT), Bugrock, Mediatrack and Smash FM.

The following bands below from CIT performed and rocked the night:

1. Midday
2. Obstacles of Faith
3. Mother Earth
4. D5LR
5. Camels from Hell
6. Mixtures
7. Pipeload Militant
8. Band of Brothers
9. 16^th Avenue
10. Vronica's Tribe

During that event also, I being the Head of the Public Relations Committee and Billy Jee Belenson, head of the Council of Leaders, announced the winners of the CIT-SSG Values Drive Mural Painting 2009 that was held last January 24 and 25.

The winners are as follows:

• 1^st Prize - Department of Science and Technology Scholars Association (DOST SA CIT) carrying the theme NATIONALISM
• 2^nd Prize - CIT Campus Ministry carrying the theme GENEROSITY
• 3^rd Prize - Industrial Engineering Council (IE Council) carrying the theme HONESTY

Back to the main event, the student's choice award went to Midday and the champion of the Battle of the Bands event was the Band of Brothers.
